A fair chore chart, on the fridge in a minute.

Make a chore chart for your flatshare or family. Add who lives there and what needs doing, and ChoreWheel turns it into a cleaning schedule with a fair chore rotation, ready to print.

Everything stays in this browser tab. Nothing you type is sent or saved.

Who?

The order decides who starts: whoever is at the top gets the first task in week 1.

Why a chore chart works

A chore chart works because nobody has to ask twice. Everyone can see who cleans the bathroom this week, who takes out the bins and who has the week off, so there is less to discuss and less to argue about. A cleaning schedule on the fridge is especially useful in a flatshare, where nobody wants to play the boss, and in families, where children love ticking things off. The trick is a chore rotation that feels fair: the same jobs must not land on the same people week after week. ChoreWheel moves every task one person further each week, so the unpopular ones get shared out too. Print the plan, stick it up and tick off each task when it is done. When the weeks run out, make a new plan in a minute.

How does the chore rotation work?

People and tasks stay in the order you typed them. The tasks are spread evenly around the group, and each week every task moves on by one person. So in any week two people are never more than one task apart, and the same list always gives the same cleaning schedule.

What if we have more tasks than people?

If the tasks don’t divide evenly, some people have one task more in a given week, and that extra task keeps moving too. After one full round, which takes as many weeks as you have people, everyone has done every task once.

And with fewer tasks than people?

Then someone has the week off, and the chore chart says so under “Free this week”. Over a full round everyone gets the same number of free weeks.

Can I choose who starts?

Yes. Whoever is at the top of the list gets the first task in the first week. Change the order of the names or tasks and the plan updates straight away. Nothing is left to chance.

Is anything saved?

No. Names and tasks stay in this browser tab and are gone when you close it. To keep your plan, print it or save it as a PDF.
