Draw names. Keep the secret.
Set up your Secret Santa in two minutes. Nobody needs an account or an email address, and whoever organises it can join in without knowing who drew whom.
Names stay in this browser tab. Each private link carries one person’s draw, and you decide who gets it.
Who is taking part?
How it works
- Enter the names and keep couples apart if you like.
- Press “Draw names”. Nobody sees the result, not even you.
- Send private links, pass one phone around or print fold-up cards.
Names drawn
The result stays hidden. How do you want to share it?
Send each person only their own link. Each link shows one name, once the person taps to see it.
GiftDraw saves nothing. Keep this tab open until everyone has their link, or copy all links as a backup.
- Print the cards and cut along the dashed outer lines.
- Fold the striped flap up over the name in the middle.
- Tape it shut and hand each card to the person named on top.
Whoever prints and folds the cards can see the names. If that person wants to take part, use links or the phone round instead.
How does Secret Santa work?
Everyone in a group draws one name and buys that person a gift, usually within an agreed budget. Nobody knows who drew them until the presents are opened. It works for families, friends, offices and school classes, and each person buys one good gift instead of many small ones. GiftDraw does the drawing, so nobody has to fold paper slips or arrange a meeting just to pull names from a hat.
Does everyone need an email address or an account?
No. You type in first names and nothing else. Each person gets a private link through WhatsApp or any other chat, and opening it needs no app, no account and no address.
Can the organiser join in without knowing the result?
Yes. The draw is never shown on the organiser’s screen, and each link reveals one name only. Opening someone else’s link would spoil it, so agree that nobody does. For a draw with no links at all, pass one phone around.
Can couples be kept apart?
Yes. Add any two people who should not draw each other, in either direction. If the rules leave no possible draw, GiftDraw tells you so and you can remove one.
What happens if someone loses a link?
The link still works from the chat it was sent in. GiftDraw saves nothing, so keep this tab open until everyone has their link, or copy all links as a backup. Without a backup, draw again and send new links.
